This term refers to work on implants that are inserted into the bone when all teeth are missing or when the remaining teeth are movable and indicated for extraction. After a detailed analysis of the CT scan and depending on the quality and quantity of the bone, 4, 5 or 6 implants are placed.

All On Four Dental Implants: what are the main characteristics

The most common method is ALL-ON-FOUR. It is a revolutionary concept in implant-prosthetics where four (4) dental implants are installed in just one visit, possibly immediately after tooth extraction. The front two implants are placed perpendicular to the bone, and the last two at an angle of 45 degrees. Due to these features, this is a good solution for patients who do not have enough bone in the back regions.

After the installation of the implant, within 48 hours, a functional and aesthetically acceptable temporary bridge is attached. This type of load is called immediate load. The advantage of this type of load is the shorter duration of the therapy and maintaining the height of the soft tissues around the implant. In this case, there are no mobile prostheses in the mouth, which is a relief for the patient.

After 3-4 months, which is the duration of the osseointegration process, a definitive fixed work is created, which functionally and aesthetically completely imitates the appearance of natural teeth.

All On Six Dental Implants: when is it appropriate?

The ALL-ON-SIX concept is a method recommended in the edentulous upper jaw due to less bone density. Due to the slope of the back two implants and their placement directly in front of the maxillary sinus, it is not necessary to lift the sinus, which reduces the duration of the therapy as well as the cost of the entire operation.

The placement of dental implants, the creation of fixed temporary and the final definitive work is identical to the ALL-ON-4 method. These methods represent the fastest solution for jaw and smile reconstruction with a minimally invasive procedure and minimal recovery time after the procedure.

The advantage of this type of fixed work is also the simple maintenance of oral hygiene and the possibility of removing the work by the doctor of dental medicine during regular inspections.

Due to the mentioned advantages, patients are increasingly opting for this type of therapy because in a relatively short time they get optimal work that functionally and aesthetically almost completely imitates the appearance of natural teeth. This type of implant-prosthetic work greatly improves the quality of life of edentulous patients.
